Job description

Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer
Flagship Commercial Building – West End, London
Continental Shift Pattern
£38-40,000 Salary
Pension, Overtime, etc

Our customer, a well-established and multinational facilities services provider, have a requirement for a long held and iconic static contract in London’s West End. Working on a “continental” shift pattern, comprising a mixture of 12 hour day and night shifts to cover the building 24/7, it is working as part of a team of multi-skilled shift engineers, reporting into engineering and account managers, and providing planned and reactive maintenance to electrical and HVAC systems.
Prospective candidates will be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally through a full apprenticeship, and with at least three years of experience of building services maintenance. Along with core qualifications, additional training such as L8, F-Gas, 18th Edition, etc will all be beneficial and particular working knowledge will include:
Single & Three Phase Power, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarms, BMS Operation, Motors, Pumps, Air Handling & Fan Coil Units, Water Treatment, VRV/VRFs, 1st line Chiller & Boiler Faults, Sprinkler Systems, etc.
With a decent amount of overtime available, this is an excellent opportunity to join a solid team at a high profile Central London account, on one of this customers long-held accounts (over 10 years). As such the firm have a strong working relationship with their client, with a well-worn route of progression from engineer through to supervisory/management positions. This is best demonstrated in the current contract manager having been placed by PRS into this shift engineer role in the past, and having risen through the ranks.
