Job description

NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor (Cambridgeshire)

Our client is a leading independently owned M&E lead facilities management organisation based in Cambridgeshire with an enviable clientele, a long-standing management team that is witnessing tremendous growth.

This success has brought about the need to recruit a working Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, who is a fully qualified Electrical Technician with the required qualifications to undertake NICEIC quality audits and to certify completed electrical installations.

You will ensure that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports. Ensuring that the business' premises, equipment, documentation and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.

1.  Have at least two consecutive years of supervisory or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work. In the case of a sole trader, a two year trading period will satisfy this requirement.

2.  Satisfy the technical training and/or experience requirements.

3.  Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations, the current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.

4.    Understand the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.

Of additional interest for the role is that the client would like the successful candidate to additionally support the companies’ sales activities by undertaking site surveys, raising quotations and thereafter monitoring and/or managing the installation of electrical works and provided the gross margin expected is maintained a bonus would be paid. A colleague in a mechanical capacity has a similar scheme and has earned around £20,000 bonus in the last year.

The salary on offer is around £40,000 plus vehicle, pension but with the potential bonus could be a £60,000 package for working Monday to Friday only! Apply for this job
