M & E Projects / Permits Supervisor - Greater London and Home Counties working across a dedicated Contract within the Central and North West London region, ideal candidates should have a solid understanding of delivering Mechanical , electrical and civil

The ideal candidate should be proactive, focussed, assertive and able to manage within the agreed time scale and if required capital budget. He/she must be able to deliver to QTS and NHS Trust engineering services of the highest quality enabling them to carry out the business activities in a safe, comfortable, compliant, productive and cost effective manner.

This role incorporates the following key tasks:

Manage the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil projects.

To provide effective M&E and Civil Project Management enabling continual improvement and successful outcomes for all Cofely projects. This shall include but not be limited to the management of:
Programmes
Cost forecast /Reforecasts 
Scope 
Quality
Resources

To manage contractual aspects between Inviron, clients and contractors, ensuring the compliance of all parties, particularly with respect to completion of projects prior to programmed operational start dates.

Manage and develop Project Engineers and Contractors
Adherence to Project Team systems and procedures
Manage the timely production of O&M manuals where required. 
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors and other key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure full commitment and support for the success of the project.
Manage assigned projects ensuring that planned/agreed work is completed and that project schedules, quality, cost objectives and deadlines are achieved.
Project reporting.
Identify, monitor, mitigate and manage project and operational risk.
Establish and maintain good supplier relations to ensure effective delivery and quality of installations.
Maintain a solution based approach to problems.
Highly organised and ability to prioritise.
To ensure that all Inviron projects are constructed to a high and consistent standard taking into account health and safety, applicable regulations and standards, environmental protection, high efficiency, good value for capital expended and low maintenance cost.
To maintain and apply a good understanding of business objectives in all aspects of the role.
Support the Quantity Surveyor with high value procurement, feeding into the production of tenders and contracts for sub-contract installation work
To assist in the accurate and inclusive costing of new projects.
Ensure compliant delivery of CDM Site management
Review and comment on permits issued and associated RAM’s
Sign and authorise all approved permit requests.
To liaise with QTS and NHS Trust to ensure continuity of service.
Assist with the day to day running of the portfolio, giving advice and guidance to the site Supervisors.
To assist supervise, co-ordinate and control the engineers, ensuring the operational team undertake PPM or reactive works in accordance with the agreed timescale, providing technical support and training for the where required.
To assist in the allocation of PPM tasks to supervisors and staff, ensuring timely completion and PPM closure
Operate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective and efficient manner (including HV operations) Support the Quantity Surveyor with high value procurement, feeding into the production of tenders and contracts for sub-contract installation work.

General Permit Duties:  

The Project & Permit Supervisor will be expected to familiarise him/herself with all aspects of the technical and support systems within NHS Trust. In general, his/her responsibilities will be to review requests for permits to work submitted by fit out contractor ensuring that works are completed in a safe manor, all documentation is submitted and that no services have unplanned disruptions to their occupied floors or buildings. 

He/she will also be asked to assist in the running day to day business as usual for PPM’s and reactive tasks, to support and guide the Supervisors, to isolate equipment as required following a permit review and to take full charge of the site in the absence on the Supervisor. 




The role varies greatly resulting from the days’ activities; therefore the ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work well under pressure. He/she must have the ability to communicate to other team members and business lines at all levels, on all aspects of problems/complaints associated with the contract portfolio relating to the services that are provided/supported by In house teams . They must customer focused to enable them to interact with QTS and NHS Trust but must be assertive enough to manage the fit-out contractor.
