We are recruiting for a Service Manager (Recertification Manager) to work with a busy engineering and project/installation team as they provide bespoke engineering solutions to a large client base. The role is overseeing the service provided and to generate new and extra leads and business opportunities for the company.

This is an Office based role. The Medium-Term Plan places a clear emphasis on the development of fall protection solutions in order to develop significant sales growth. To improve the service to existing and new clients and to build the business by understanding client needs. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Rectification administration and travel on occasion with overnight visits.

Service Manager Duties:
Recertification sales growth with existing clients
Monitor and assess existing service levels
Generate business opportunities from lapsed accounts
Increase the conversion ratio from contract order to service agreement.
Liaise with each end user and potential clients
Liaise closely with the contracts and recertification teams
Take a proactive role to identify new business areas and revenue streams
Account Manage existing clients to ensure complete customer satisfaction and the opportunity to build solid long term relationships
To build an excellent understanding of the marketplace and the competitors within that space
Provide support for other departments when required
Upload all correspondence and sales activity to CRM & Sage database on a daily basis
Attend on-site client visits when required
Manage the Recertification Department and all department engineers on a day-to-day basis
Ensure Engineers have a suffice pipeline of works
Exceed pre-determined revenue targets (Monthly/ Annually)
Contact all existing recertification clients within set time periods to renew contracts, increase rates, sell/ agree service contracts (1, 3 or 5 years).
Identify and sell training requirements in-line with recertification site-visits (Safe-Use, Harness, WAH and Rescue training).
Contact new business Recertification clients and last year’s installation clients to sell annual recertification Service Agreements.
Attend external Recertification client meetings
Attend industry events, Seminars and Exhibitions
Write up, manage and follow-up all recertification contracts/ proposals.
Attend quarterly and annual client meetings for review of performance
Ensure engineers safety, product and tools training is up to date and valid
Report department activities to Senior Management
Manage the Pre-Qualification Questionaries’ and Tenders accordingly
Educate and remain knowledgeable with current WAH legislation- BS7883 and BSEN365
Ad-hoc projects to assist the business and Group
