Sustainability Project and Delivery Manager – Data Centres Specialist
£70,000 to £80000 for right candidate
Plus Annual Bonus 10%

Job Summary:
Responsible for guiding, advising, and delivering against the company sustainability program/ Projects, in which a multitude of projects are derived.  Accountable for identifying and implementing approved sustainability projects, driving selected (Data Centre) energy efficiency down, and achieving carbon neutrality.  Ensuring that sustainability is advocated wider than technical solutions. Accountable for managing the interface between UK Operations and the Energy Efficiency Centre of Excellence. 
Responsibilities 
Project/Program Management  
Comprehensive understanding of project management principles and disciplines. Identify sustainability projects in cooperation with Operations staff and the Energy Efficiency Centre of Excellence Responsible for running energy efficiency projects and programs in all the (data centres) in close cooperation with site Operations. Will be responsible for ensuring project governance/standards are in place, upheld, and followed.  
Project/Program Delivery 
Responsible for successfully completing their projects on time, within budget, quality and scope
Responsible for developing and maintaining 5+ Year project roll-out programs/Projects per Site
Execute projects against the program’s requirements.  
Technical & System Support  
Translating sustainability goals into high-level technical solutions.
Evaluating the technical solution against the effect on Carbon neutrality and energy efficiency (PUE reductions)
Translating sustainability goals and technical solutions into achievable projects, based on individual business cases
Ensures that none of the projects will have a negative effect on site availability (Up-time). 
Stakeholder Management
Anticipates stakeholder engagement needs on behalf of the team's projects (advising team members where required).
Encourages and seeks feedback on the team or individuals.
Is an escalation point to resolve stakeholder issues
Formulates stakeholder communication plans for projects and programs
Maintains and keeps under review the communication of the program requirements and seeks to continually improve the team's communications standards 
Risk Management 
Resource Management (people, finances) 
Develop and maintain program budgets, track and control spending on projects within budget
Provide management updates on a variety of resource management KPIs
Is an escalation point for the team for solving resource/budgetary issues
Contributes and/or is responsible for resource planning (people, finances) activities 
Knowledge and Experience 
Engineering and Technology 
Ideally  Experience within data centres, infrastructure facilities, building management systems
Knowledge of global compliance and certifications that may apply.
Can work cross-functionally with the PMO organisation and the Sustainability representatives in the company. 
Customer and Personnel Experience 
Experience working in mission-critical organisations with dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Understands how to assess customer needs through direct communication, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Creates an atmosphere of interdependence, collaboration, and reciprocal communication among departments or divisions within the company. 
Safety and Security 
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people, data, property, and sites
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in complying with the requirements of UK construction Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice, and safe working practices.
Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating health and safety hazards throughout the stages of project delivery.
Contributes to inspections, internal and external audits 
Management 
Can build effective, productive, and purposeful relationships with consultants, contractors, and service providers to ensure that projects are carried out to the set scope, budget, timescale, and quality objectives.
Experience in executing projects under the FIDIC suite of contracts and familiarity with the role of the Contract Administrator.
Construction 
Strong cross-functional knowledge of Data Centre MEP infrastructure design, installation techniques, and operating principles to provide detailed input to internal/external construction teams.

Qualifications
· Several years of experience preferred
· Diploma to a Bachelor's Degree preferred
· Prince2 Practitioner certification preferred
