Job description

We are recruiting for an M&E supervisor to ensure site technical services are delivered in compliance with legislative, client, safety and environmental programmes. Working for one of the leading FM Companies in the UK. This company is very keen on progression and are looking to create a route for the supervisor to progress onto contract manager level in the coming years. 
This will involve all building services supervision and hands-on duties to include maintenance, small works and projects, extensive liaison with the client. Also to ensure all H&S and compliance regulations are met and to deputise for the enginerring manager.
On Offer:
This is a permanent role paying up to £40K for the ideal candidate. Package TBC, Monday to Friday standard business hours.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to visualise and communicate the execution of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
  • Engineering background and competency to accurately estimate labour hours, material requirement and trade/skills needed to complete a job.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills and have demonstrated the ability to be approachable and tactful
  • Demonstrated ability to write and provide simple and accurate instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings. Have the ability to sketch or redline existing drawings.
  • Knowledge and understands the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes.
  • Must be capable of providing familiarisation training and demonstrating any specific job requirements.
  • Will be able to lead by example by carrying out practical maintenance and installation tasks to a high standard

Hands-on duties, to include:

PPM and reactive maintenance
small works and refurbishment
General handyperson tasks and fabric duties

Knowledge of EHS requirements
Good Computer skills 
Qualified electrical or mechanical engineer
Experience of engineer Supervision
Experience of Maintenance operations
Excellent client liaison and customer service approach
Willingness to complete hands-on tasks
