Are you an experienced Contract Manager with a strong background in Hard FM services? My client, a respected Facilities Management provider, is seeking a dynamic and technically qualified individual to lead the delivery of a key hard services contract in the Portsmouth area.
About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established FM provider and take full responsibility for the operational delivery and client relationship on a high-profile site. You will oversee the day-to-day management of hard FM services, including electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring compliance, safety, and top-tier service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of planned and reactive hard FM services (M&E, HVAC, fabric maintenance, etc.)
- Lead, support, and motivate a team of engineers and supervisors on site
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, statutory obligations, and company policies
- Control budgets, monitor costs, and manage KPIs to drive operational performance
- Oversee subcontractor activities and ensure contractual SLAs are consistently met
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Contract Manager role within the hard FM sector
- Electrically or mechanically qualified (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND)
- Strong technical knowledge in building services/M&E systems
- Excellent leadership and client relationship management skills
- Commercially aware with budget and cost control experience
- Health & safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH are desirable
