Role DescriptionThe Construction Director will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all on-site construction activities related to the water treatment scope on a large data centre project. This includes oversight of subcontractors, health and safety compliance, schedule management, quality control, and alignment with client and internal project goals. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring strategic vision, technical expertise, and exceptional project execution skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all construction activities related to the water treatment plant for the data centre project, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
- Provide leadership to the site-based project and construction management teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work closely with design, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment across all project phases.
- Develop and manage the construction program, identifying risks, opportunities, and recovery plans as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, client, and company health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Interface with client representatives, consultants, and other contractors to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee progress reporting, budget control, and change management
- Drive quality assurance practices to ensure that construction meets design specifications and client expectations.
- Lead constructability reviews and support value engineering

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction management, Mechanical Engineering, or related
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant construction leadership experience, ideally in water treatment, industrial utility systems, or large MEP-intensive projects.
- Proven experience in managing major infrastructure or hyperscale data centre projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of process piping, water treatment technologies, and high-specification industrial construction standards.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects safely, on time, and within
