Chef
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £15 – £17 per hour
Shifts – on rota (must be flexable)
A Chef is required to join a busy kitchen, preparing fresh meals to a high standard. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering quality food.
Key Responsibilities for a Chef:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting meals in line with menu specifications
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Supporting with menu planning, stock control and deliveries
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and service team
- Ensuring all food safety, allergen and HACCP procedures are followed
Requirements for a Chef:
- Previous experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality
- Reliable, organised and a strong team player
- Relevant catering qualification preferred but not essential
Must have:
- Food Hygine level 2
- Own tranport – car or bike or bicyle due to location not being accceable via public tranport
