This is an exciting next step for an experienced HVAC Shift Leader or Engineering Team Lead from the financial services maintenance environment who is ready to transition into a project-focused role within one of the world’s most respected global organisations.
Your operational experience in critical buildings will now be channelled into overseeing and coordinating MEP project works, managing vendor activities, driving compliance, and supporting the delivery of upgrade, lifecycle, and infrastructure improvement projects.
This role is designed for someone who is technically strong, highly organised, and eager to grow into end-to-end project management.
What You Will Do
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Act as the first point of contact for all project-related activities across MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, and building services).
- Oversee project works in person, including inspections, surveys, vendor escorting, and site access management.
- Conduct isolations, manage permits, and ensure RAMs receive first-stage approval before works begin.
- Carry out walk-rounds of project areas to identify risks, issues, and snags early in the process.
- Ensure all handover documentation, O&M updates, and project records are in place and meet client requirements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage communication and outreach to third-party vendors, including HVAC specialists, electricians, plumbers, and other service partners.
- Coordinate engineering attendance for project works and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors.
- Gain and review vendor quotations for works, ensuring commercial competitiveness and compliance.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Partner with HSE teams to implement safety processes across the entire project lifecycle.
- Conduct safety audits in non-demised areas and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
- Escalate non-compliances, risks, and procedural breaches promptly.
Project Reporting & Administration
- Produce detailed weekly project status reports for senior/executive management.
- Analyse data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement or risk mitigation.
- Process permits, review work documentation, and resolve operational issues relating to project execution.
- Suggest improvements to streamline project processes and enhance delivery efficiency
What You Will Bring
Technical Background
- Strong HVAC background with experience as a Shift Leader, Supervisor, or Engineering Team Lead (ideally in critical/financial services environments).
- Good understanding of building services systems and MEP operations.
Experience & Skills
- 5–7 years experience within technical building maintenance or critical environment operations.
- Exposure to supporting small works, minor projects, or life-cycle upgrades (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to communicate confidently with vendors, engineers, senior stakeholders, and clients.
- Highly organised, inquisitive mindset, and capable of structuring complex information clearly.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience working with supply partners and delivering a seamless service within demanding environments.
Attributes
- Motivated to grow into a full projects role with significant long-term opportunity.
- Service-oriented, proactive, and able to solve problems where no precedent exists.
- A team player who can positively impact cross-functional teams.
Why This Role Is a Great Career Move
- Step out of shift work into a Monday–Friday, project-focused career path.
- Join a global leader with exceptional development, training, and progression opportunities.
- Gain exposure to large-scale infrastructure, refresh, and upgrade projects.
- Build the foundation to progress into Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager roles in the future.
