Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – CroydonSalary: £44,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team at a modern, high-spec commercial office site in Croydon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and HVAC experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and keeping building services operating safely, efficiently and reliably.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a modern commercial office environment
- Service, maintain and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults involving valves, actuators, motors and other mechanical components
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Respond to reactive maintenance issues and minimise equipment downtime
- Ensure mechanical and HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and facilities team
- Participate in the site call-out rota when required
- A recognised City & Guilds mechanical qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services
- Hands-on experience with FCUs and associated components
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- £44,000 basic salary
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
