Building Services Electrical Engineer – In house £45,000

Location: UK - Hatfield

 

Job Role:

 

A new opportunity is available to become a member of the Building Services Department, working Electrical Building Services with an aptitude to carry out mechanical tasks. Ensuring the highest standards in Building Maintenance are achieved.    

 

What you will be accountable for:

 

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance 30 %
Electrical systems, Power distribution, Lighting, Motor, UPS systems, Emergency

Generation and HVAC plant and equipment.

Building Fabric, including Lifts, Dock Levellers, Auto and static doors.

  • Reactive works 30 % 
Reacting to the requests of Facilities Dept, Security, Facilities and IS helpdesk functions.

Assisting the Property team in repairing defective equipment in a timely manner.

Emergency response for essential pieces of equipment.

  • Proactive Works 20 %
Ensuring that all machinery and equipment is regularly maintained to the highest standards.

Monitoring Building Management Systems,

Management and liaison with Sub Contract staff

Playing an Active role in defect identification and rectification

  • Installation Works 10%
Electrical installation.

  • Administration 10 %                   
Correct completion of time sheets

Completion of task sheets

Stock control

Consumables ordering       

 
Skills needed:

 
  • Electrical qualifications-City and Guilds 18th edition
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Building Service role.
  • Working knowledge of planned preventative maintenance regimes
  • To be able to fault find problems associated with Single and 3 phase control and distribution circuits. To include Lighting, Motor, UPS systems, emergency generation and HVAC plant and equipment
  • Demonstrate a willingness to undertake general maintenance duties to include testing of sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
  • Basic PC skills
  • Health and Safety awareness
  • Ability to work at heights
Working Monday to Friday 06.00 – 14.00 and 14.00 – 22.00 (flexible on start and finish times to a degree)
