Days Only Shift Engineer – £48,000 + £4000 shift allowance + bonus
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join a high-profile corporate site in Central London. This is a days-only role supporting a prestigious global financial services organisation at their UK headquarters (client details confidential). Working as part of a professional on-site engineering team, you’ll be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all electrical and associated building services systems within a critical corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on electrical systems
- Operate and maintain LV distribution systems, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and lighting systems
- Support critical systems and ensure maximum uptime across the site
- Complete fault finding, diagnostics, and first-line repairs
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Update site documentation, logbooks, and CAFM systems accurately
- Support subcontractors and specialist service providers when required
- Participate in site audits and compliance checks
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Experience working in a commercial or critical environment
- Strong fault-finding ability across electrical systems
- Understanding of building management systems (BMS)
- Good communication skills and professional approach
- HV/AP qualification desirable but not essential
