Engineering Supervisor – £55,000 + £6000 Bonus
We’re currently looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor (Electrical Bias) to oversee building services operations at a prestigious corporate headquarters in Central London (client and managing agent confidential).
This role sits within a global facilities management organisation delivering integrated engineering services to a high-profile financial services client. The successful candidate will lead the on-site engineering team, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and high standards of service delivery within a critical corporate environment.
Reporting to the Account Manager, the Engineering Supervisor will take ownership of day-to-day technical operations, team coordination, and contractor management across a flagship commercial property.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a team of shift engineers and subcontractors
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Ensure safe operation of LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, and associated building systems
- Act as Authorised/Responsible Person where required (subject to qualifications)
- Manage compliance documentation, RAMS review, permits to work, and statutory obligations
- Support client reporting, KPIs, and service level agreements
- Lead toolbox talks and promote a strong health & safety culture
- Assist with budgeting, procurement, and contractor performance reviews
- Provide technical support and escalation for complex faults
Candidate Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or lead engineer role
- Strong knowledge of commercial building services within a critical environment
- Experience managing contractors and compliance processes
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- HV/AP or LV Authorised Person status desirable
