Mobile Refrigeration Engineer

Up to £49,767 – paid travel time

We are recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our clients mobile team, servicing a range of multi-site retail clients.

You’ll be on the road, keeping our clients supermarket refrigeration / air conditioning systems running smoothly across your patch, carrying out high-quality diagnostics, maintenance, servicing and repairs – all while delivering outstanding customer service.
This is a hands-on, mobile role where no two days are the same.
Essential:
- Valid UK driver’s license
- F-Gas certification (C&G 2079-11)
- Refrigeration or Air Conditioning engineering experience
- Excellent communication and time management
- A strong work ethic, with Health & Safety awareness
Desirable:
- CO2 Qualification
- Supermarket refrigeration experience
Additional info:
- The role will involve working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday and 1 Saturday in 4.
- On-call rota: 1 in every 4 weeks
Main Duties:
- Timely completion of all refrigeration reactive and planned maintenance tasks allocated and completed to an agreed standard.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and adhere to best working practices at all times.
- To sponsor and complete refrigeration surveys and technical reports as necessary and to cascade all key data to relevant personnel throughout field operations.
- Achievement of tasks within SLA times and work orders opened and closed in real time.
- To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
- To provide Refrigeration support as required, e.g. advice regarding major operational issues.
- Able to effectively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and systems and provide effective solutions.
