Van Mobile Supervisor – Plumbing Bias
Bedford
£50,000 + Company Van

We are currently seeking an experienced Van Mobile Supervisor (Plumbing Bias) to join a growing contract covering 6 schools in the Bedford area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on, with clear progression as the contract continues to expand.

The Role
This is a working supervisor position, where you’ll lead from the front—supporting your team on the tools while overseeing daily operations. As the contract grows, the role will naturally evolve into a more supervisory-focused position.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Managing reactive works, emergency breakdowns, and minor projects
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, in line with regulations, and within contractual timeframes
• Completing and reviewing all required paperwork, reports, and compliance documentation
• Notifying clients of remedial works and ensuring timely completion
• Line managing a team of engineers and operatives, including training and development
• Ensuring all mandatory training and e-learning is completed and up to date
• Coordinating with the Helpdesk to ensure effective resource allocation
• Participating in an on-call escalation rota to provide out-of-hours support
• Supporting the Contract Manager and assisting the team as required
• Carrying out audits where necessary to maintain service standards

✅ About You

• Strong background in plumbing (essential)
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role
• Comfortable balancing hands-on work with leadership responsibilities
• Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and maintenance processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
