Position: Maintenance Electrician
Type: Temp (Temp to Perm option)
Location: Manchester
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to work on a resident basis within a large scale commercial facility in Manchester.
The role is temp position (with a temp to perm option) based on a salary of £42,000-44,000 basic (£20.67/hr)
Mon-Fri 40 hours per week. c 08.00am – 16.30pm.
Description
Within the lead maintenance electrician role you will be carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site. The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carryout or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant, controls, lighting etc.
PPM and reactive works
Oversee compliance checks
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide H&S oversight
Undertake small works minor projects where required
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
Client liaison and reporting into the Site Manager
Skills & Background Required:
Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering (Level 3 (or Part 1 & 2)
18th edition
Maintenance background in commercial sized buildings – PPM’s and reactive works
Experience of building services
Must be presentable and reliable
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
