Development Project Manager – Construction Data Centre Build
@£100,000 Basic, Plus Bonus, equity, and a great package
Northumberland | Full-Time, Site-Based
Major New Data Centre Campus | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Equity
Be Part of Something Big. Help Build the Next Generation of Data Centres.
An exceptional opportunity to join one of the world’s leading digital infrastructure businesses, playing a key role in the early-stage development and construction of a major new data centre campus in Northumberland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Centre Development Project Manager who wants to be at the heart of a significant development from the very beginning.
Working alongside leading engineering, design and construction professionals, you will take ownership of project delivery, coordinating design teams, consultants, contractors and specialist MEP partners to bring a major data centre development to life.
This is an onsite position, five days a week. With construction and development activity progressing, your presence on site will be essential to driving the programme, managing stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery.
The Challenge

• Lead multiple data centre development and construction workstreams.
• Manage design, pre-construction, procurement and construction activities.
• Coordinate consultants, architects, engineers, main contractors and specialist MEP teams.
• Manage project budgets, commercial performance, programmes and delivery milestones.
• Oversee contractor performance, variations, procurement and cost control.
• Drive design coordination, technical submissions and construction progress.
• Report project performance, risks and progress to senior leadership.
• Help shape the wider campus masterplan and future development strategy.

The Experience We Need
We are looking for an established Project Manager with demonstrable experience delivering large-scale construction projects, ideally within the data centre or mission-critical infrastructure sector.
You will need:

• Proven experience delivering data centre construction or development projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP engineering and complex building services.
• Experience managing projects from design and pre-construction through construction and handover.
• Confidence managing contractors, consultants, procurement and commercial budgets.
• Strong programme management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to take ownership, make decisions and drive delivery in a fast-paced development environment.

Data centre development experience is highly desirable, alongside a strong track record of delivering complex MEP-led construction projects.
Why This Opportunity?

• Join a globally recognised digital infrastructure business.
• Become instrumental in developing a major new UK data centre campus.
• Be involved from the early stages of construction and site development.
• Work alongside highly experienced international development and engineering teams.
• Take genuine ownership and influence over a significant project.
• Competitive salary, annual bonus and equity eligibility.
• Excellent benefits and long-term career development opportunities.

Ready for the Challenge?
If you are an experienced Data Centre Project Manager who wants to get away from simply managing projects on paper and be directly involved in delivering a major new data centre campus, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
