Salary: £85,000–£105,000 + Package
Role Purpose:
The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of hyperscale data centre construction projects, ensuring alignment with programme, commercial, safety, and technical requirements. This role plays a critical function in ensuring infrastructure is delivered to mission-critical standards and supports successful commissioning and operational handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
• Lead and manage delivery of construction scope
• Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams
• Ensure infrastructure delivered meets client requirements
Programme Management:
• Manage delivery in accordance with programme milestones
• Identify and mitigate programme risks
Commercial Management:
• Support commercial performance and cost control
• Manage subcontractor performance
Commissioning Support:
• Ensure infrastructure supports commissioning readiness
• Support integrated systems testing
Safety and Quality:
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Maintain quality standards and compliance
Authority and Decision Making:
• Authority to manage subcontractors and construction teams within assigned scope
• Authority to escalate commercial and programme risks
• Authority to enforce safety and quality standards
Key Technical Scope:
• HV/MV electrical distribution
• UPS systems and standby generation
• Mechanical cooling infrastructure
• Structural and architectural infrastructure
