Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer / Facilities Engineer / Building Services Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a modern workplace environment.
This role is ideal for engineers with experience in critical environments, facilities management, or building services, who are passionate about maintenance, fault finding, and delivering high-quality engineering services.
You will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, technical excellence, and a high-quality workplace experience for clients, employees, and visitors.
The Role As an Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance, supporting the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems within a professional environment.
You’ll work closely with a collaborative engineering team, contributing to service delivery, system performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Team Collaboration
- Promote a positive, team-focused culture
- Support training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Work collaboratively with engineers and site teams to deliver service excellence
Operations & Maintenance
- Deliver engineering services in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
- Maintain systems in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support emergency response and incident management processes
- Ensure minimal disruption to client operations and workplace activity
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Health & Safety (HSEQ) procedures and Safe Systems of Work
- Support implementation of risk management and safety practices
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and service delivery
- Support initiatives to enhance technical performance and operational standards
Requirements Essential
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in facilities management, building services, or critical environments
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and maintenance practices
- Experience using BMS and digital monitoring/control systems
- Good IT skills and ability to use CAFM or maintenance systems
Desirable
- HV/LV Authorised Person (AP15) – training/refresher available
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) or mechanical equivalent
- HNC / HND in Engineering
- Confined Space / Pressure Systems Authorised Person
- IOSH Health & Safety certification
