We are seeking a Project Director who has extensive experience executing complex projects from concept to completion, ideally with a Data Centre background. You will be a high-level leader responsible for overseeing the entire data center project lifecycle, from initial planning and site selection to construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations. They provide strategic leadership, manage resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

Lead and manage all aspects of the data center project, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning. 

  • Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement project strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirements. 

  • Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external vendors. 

  • Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to project success. 

  • Financial Management:

Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met. 

  • Technical Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and expertise, ensuring projects are technically sound and compliant with industry standards. 

  • Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate project teams, providing coaching and mentorship to project managers and other team members. 

  • Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, communicating project progress and status. 

  • Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance project delivery efficiency. 

  • Client Relationship Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns. 
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in project management, particularly in the data center industry or related fields. 
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate project teams. 
  • Technical Knowledge: A good understanding of data center technologies, including power, cooling, and infrastructure. 
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills to manage project budgets and track expenditures. 
  • Project Management Methodologies: Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and challenges. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. 
  • Certifications (Optional): Relevant project management certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 may be advantageous.
