Construction Director

Looking for a Construction Director that oversees the end-to-end construction of data centers, from initial planning and design to commissioning and handover. They manage all aspects of the project, including budget, schedule, and quality, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.  Key Responsibilities:·      
Project Management:Lead and manage all phases of data center construction projects, including planning, design, execution, and commissioning. ·      
Budget and Schedule Control:Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. ·      
Contractor Management:Oversee the selection, management, and performance of general contractors, MEP contractors, and other consultants. ·      
Client Relationship Management:Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction and meeting their project objectives. ·      
Quality Assurance:Establish and maintain quality standards throughout the construction process, ensuring projects meet required specifications and standards. ·      
Risk Management:Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with the project, including financial, legal, and technical risks. ·      
Safety and Compliance:Ensure all construction activities adhere to relevant safety regulations and environmental standards. ·      
Team Leadership and Development:Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to project managers, architects, and other construction professionals. ·      
Progress Reporting:Prepare and present regular project progress reports to stakeholders. ·      
Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, facilities, and other relevant departments, to ensure seamless project delivery. ·      
Problem Solving:Identify and resolve project issues promptly and effectively, utilizing problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. ·      
Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in data center construction: Proven track record of successfully delivering data center projects. 
• Strong project management skills: Ability to plan, manage, and execute complex projects, including budget, schedule, and resource management. 
• Excellent leadership and communication skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage client relationships. 
• Technical expertise in data center construction: Understanding of data center design, infrastructure, and construction processes. 
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards: Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and other relevant guidelines. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve project issues effectively. 
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field: Engineering, architecture, or construction management are common qualifications.
