My client is looking for a mechanical HVAC engineer who will be joining a maintenance team at an internationally acclaimed museum in the heart of the London. The large building is ventilated with numerous Air Handling Units and Fan Coil units that are kept at tip top condition.
Key Responsibilities:• Monitor and maintain Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) across the museum facility• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules and respond to system alarms• Ensure optimal environmental conditions for artifact preservation and public spaces• Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs• Maintain detailed maintenance records and compliance documentation• Collaborate with the engineering team on system improvements and energy efficiency initiativesEssential Requirements:• F-Gas Category 1or2 certification• Formal engineering degree (Mechanical, Building Services, or related discipline)• Proven experience with commercial HVAC systems, particularly AHUs and FCUs• Strong understanding of building environmental controls and energy management systems• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable:• Experience in heritage buildings or museum environments• Knowledge of environmental monitoring systems• City & Guilds or equivalent HVAC qualifications
