Job Title: Facilities Supervisor / Manager
Location: Brierley Hill
Hourly rate: £43k p.a. to £45k p.a. DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day
Job type: Full-Time, Temporary until Jan 2026
- Be responsible for the Hard FM & lifecycle services for 3 PFI healthcare contract sites.
- Be the primary point of contact for the client.
• Manage a small team of engineers and co-ordinate with an administrator and the wider team to deliver the services.
• Report sickness and absence, manage holiday allowance and ensure sites always have adequate cover.
• Demonstrate high awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety, ensuring staff and sub-contractors are working safely at all times.
• Review subcontractor RAMS and ensure company procedures are adhered to in relation to health & safety (setting to work/ permits etc).
• Understand and fulfil all other requirements in relation to Environmental and Quality for the cluster in co-ordination with the clients corporate processes.
• Carry out monthly Management Safety Visits and ensure all safety observations and near misses are logged on AIMS.
• Ensure site teams training and Toolbox Talks are up to date.
• Ensure technical compliance for the cluster is always up to date and ‘audit ready’ including remedial works from technical inspections.
• Ensure all jobs are logged on the helpdesk and that the client meets the rectification targets for reactive works and PPM activity.
• Manage small variation projects.
• Manage the open jobs for the cluster, ensuring timely closures to avoid financial penalties.
• Provide support in emergency situations, such as fire evacuations, power outages, floods, be an escalation for out of hours emergency situations.
• Complete monthly reports and submit to the Contract Manager/ Ops Manager to the required schedule.
• Work flexible hours across the sites as required.
• Potentially be Appointed/ Responsible person for specific Technical subjects (water, PSSR, LOLER, Lifts). - Demonstrate experience and knowledge in safe working practices.
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work activities and manage own time efficiently
• Ability to handle a varied workload with attention to detail and be able to work on own initiative
• Be smart in appearance
• Highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking, coupled with a team player attitude
• Courteous, helpful and ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability to communicate well at all levels
• Reasonable flexibility to meet business needs
• IOSH Managing Safely desired.
• Previous technical hard FM services management experience at a minimum of supervisory role.
• Experience of managing direct reports.
• Excellent communicator.
• Good IT skills.
