Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
Pay: £20-£25 depending on payment type.
We are recruiting for a temporary worker to assist with plumbing and fabric maintenance on a static commercial site in Southampton. This is a 3-month role with immediate start.
Duties;
- Carry out minor plumbing repairs (e.g. unblocking sinks, fixing dripping taps, replacing shower heads)
- Perform general fabric maintenance including basic carpentry, patch painting, and repairing fixtures
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and site staff
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across living areas, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Replace light bulbs, tighten fittings, and carry out other minor reactive tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored appropriately
- Report any damage, health and safety issues, or access problems to the site supervisor
- Communicate effectively with on-site teams and external contractors when required
Requirements:
- Plumbing/fabric maintenance experience
- Reliable and available for full-time weekday work
- Previous facilities or building maintenance background preferred
