Hours: x2 positions available – 4 on, 4 off days OR 4 on 4 off nights
Location: Chester
We are recruiting for Plumber / Mechanical maintenance engineers to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a secure facility in the West Cheshire area. The maintenance engineers will be responsible for general repairs and upkeep to the water, pressure and mechanical plant room plus compliance checks and general fabric upkeep. These are permanent roles paying between 35-41k. Shifts are 4 on 4 off days 07:00-19:00 OR 4 on 4 off nights 19:00 – 07:00.
Plumber / Mechanical maintenance engineer description:
Complete reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects.
Plumbing and pipework maintenance
AHU & Fan coil units
Water systems
Hot and cold water feeds
Pumps and valves – plant room
Pressure systems
Radiators and heating
Drainage
Leak repair
L8 prevention, tamp temps and thermostatic mixer valves (TMV)
Plus other associated tasks
Plumber Requirements:
To have Mechanical Engineering experience and qualifications
Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
Able to pass a security clearance
Knowledge of Building services (water, heating, ventilation, plant room)
Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
