Electrical Engineer – Peterborough – £45,000
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Location: Peterborough (retail environment)
Shifts: Day shifts only – 4 on, 4 off
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a busy retail site in Peterborough. This is a great opportunity to step into a stable, day-shift role with a structured shift pattern and strong earning potential.
You’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining electrical systems across the site, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and in line with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and electrical faults
- Diagnose and repair issues with lighting, power distribution, and control systems
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and fault finding
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and electrical standards (BS 7671)
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work
- Support general building services maintenance when required

- Level 3 Electrical qualification
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
