Walking Mobile Facilities Maintenance Engineer – HVAC
Up to £50,000 Basic + Overtime + Bonuses | £56,000+ Potential Earnings
Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm | Central London Zones 1–2
Are you a multi-skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer with a strong HVAC background looking for a role that gives you autonomy, variety and excellent earning potential?
We are recruiting for a Walking Mobile Facilities Maintenance Engineer to cover a portfolio of commercial buildings across Central London, Zones 1–2.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer from an Electrical, Mechanical or Air Conditioning background, provided you have strong HVAC and general building services knowledge.
Once fully up and running, you will take responsibility for approximately 4–6 buildings, providing predominantly general maintenance, PPM and reactive support across the portfolio.
What’s on Offer?
- Up to £50,000 basic salary
- £56,000+ potential earnings with overtime and bonuses
- Two bonuses per year

- Call-out rota of approximately 1:9 after probation

The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of a portfolio of commercial buildings, ensuring the sites remain safe, operational and well maintained.
Your duties will include:
- PPM and reactive maintenance
- HVAC maintenance and fault-finding
- General building services maintenance
- Basic plumbing and water services
- Electrical or mechanical maintenance depending on your core discipline
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
- Monitoring plant and equipment
- Supporting contractors where required
- Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
- Building good relationships with clients and site teams
- Responding to reactive issues and participating in the call-out rota
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in engineers from a range of technical backgrounds, including:
Electrical | Mechanical | Air Conditioning | HVAC
Your core trade can be electrical, mechanical or air conditioning, but good HVAC knowledge is essential.
You’ll ideally have commercial facilities maintenance experience and be comfortable working independently across multiple buildings.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is hands-on, technically capable, professional with clients and confident managing their own workload.
