Evening Reception & Facilities Assistant

Location: Brighton
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 6:55pm – 12:10am
Contract: October 2025 – January 2026

We are looking for an Evening Reception & Facilities Assistant to join the team on a fixed-term basis. The role is suited to someone with strong customer service skills, who is reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties for an Evening Reception & Facilities Assistant include:

• Acting as first point of contact for visitors, staff and residents (in person, by phone and email)
• Handling enquiries, issuing and monitoring keys, processing post and parcels
• Recording and maintaining accurate information using IT systems, in line with GDPR
• Monitoring building security, fire alarms and safety hazards, and reporting issues promptly
• Supporting with complaint handling and recording incidents such as anti-social behaviour
• Maintaining cleanliness across internal and external areas
• Patrolling premises and reporting defects or maintenance requirements
• Assisting colleagues across facilities and security during busy periods

Requirements for a Evening Reception & Facilities Assistant:

• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Previous experience in a customer-facing environment
• Basic IT knowledge or willingness to develop skills
• Ability to work with people from varied backgrounds
• Organised, proactive and able to prioritise tasks
• Strong awareness of safety and security
• Ability to move loads of up to 10–15kg
• All DBS convictions and cautions must be declared due to work with children and vulnerable adults
