Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Kings Cross, London
Salary: £50,000 + Overtime | Monday to Friday Days

Duties

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical plant and equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across production machinery and site services
• Maintaining motors, drives, control panels, inverters, sensors, relays, switchgear, and associated systems
• Completing electrical inspections, testing, and servicing to maximise equipment reliability
• Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production performance
• Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems
• Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
• Maintaining accurate engineering records and reporting recurring issues

You will ideally have:

• A recognised electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
• Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, control systems, sensors, and industrial electrical equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
