Project Construction Planning Manager / QS

We are seeking a Planning Manager to be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of the new Hyperscale data center. This includes tasks like project management, resource optimization, and ensuring compliance with regulations. 
 
Detailed breakdown of their responsibilities:
Project Management & Planning:

• Full Lifecycle Management:

Overseeing projects from initial site selection through construction and commissioning. 

• Site Feasibility:

Evaluating sites based on infrastructure, environmental conditions, utility access, and regulatory compliance. 

• Design and Planning:

Overseeing the design and planning of electrical systems, especially high-voltage and medium-voltage systems. 

• Permitting and Compliance:

Managing permitting processes and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. 

• Resource Optimization:

Analyzing manpower, equipment, and material availability to optimize resource allocation. 
 
Operational & Technical Responsibilities:

• Power Supply Management: Negotiating and managing power supply agreements and coordinating with utilities. 
• Equipment Lifecycle: Managing equipment lifecycle, including budgeting, technical feasibility, and operational risk reduction. 
• Data Distribution & Storage: Managing data and application storage, flow, and distribution. 
• Backup and Recovery: Planning and executing robust backup methodologies and disaster recovery plans. 
• Upgrading and Optimization: Working to upgrade and optimize data center systems. 
• Monitoring and Improvement: Monitoring data center performance and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency. 

 
Other Key Responsibilities:

• Communication and Reporting: Generating and presenting progress reports, KPIs, and schedule forecasts. 
• Change Management: Evaluating schedule impacts from design changes or unforeseen challenges and updating plans accordingly. 
• Stakeholder Management: Communicating with project leadership and stakeholders. 
• Team Management: In some roles, managing a team of professionals responsible for data center operations.
